N.Y. recovers from 17-point deficit to beat former coach

Wilson Chandler scored seven of his 19 points in the final 4 minutes, and the visiting New Knicks York beat the Charlotte Bobcats to snap a six-game losing streak and improve to 2-0 against former coach Larry Brown.

The Knicks recovered from blowing a 17-point lead and stayed perfect against Brown.

Al Harrington added 16 points and six rebounds for the Knicks, who also got 13 points and 16 rebounds from David Lee.

Gerald Wallace scored 21 points and Boris Diaw had 20.

HEAT 104, CAVALIERS 95: Dwyane Wade had 21 points and 12 assists, Mario Chalmers added 21 points and eight assists, and host Miami dropped King James' pro record on his birthday to 0-3 with a win over Cleveland.

HAWKS 110, PACERS 104: Joe Johnson scored 12 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter to help streaking Atlanta beat host Indiana.

HORNETS 97, WIZARDS 85: Chris Paul had 15 points, 16 assists and 10 rebounds for his third triple-double of the season, and New Orleans beat visiting Washington.

SUNS 101, GRIZZLIES 89: Leandro Barbosa scored 28 points, Shaquille O'Neal added 24 to move into eighth place on the NBA scoring list and Phoenix beat host Memphis without ailing star Steve Nash.

LATE MONDAY

TIMBERWOLVES 108, GRIZZLIES 98 (OT): Al Jefferson scored a season-high 38 points, including nine in overtime, and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead host Minnesota over Memphis.

WIZARDS 89, ROCKETS 87: Antawn Jamison scored a season-high 30 points, Andray Blatche added 16 points and eight rebounds and Washington snapped a five-game road losing streak.

WARRIORS 117, RAPTORS 111: Stephen Jackson scored 30 points, Marco Belinelli added 23 and Golden State held off Toronto.

NOTES

BOOZER TO HAVE SURGERY: Utah Jazz forward Carlos Boozer, a former standout at Duke, will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.

ROCKETS ADD MUTOMBO: The Houston Rockets have re-signed 42-year-old center Dikembe Mutombo for the rest of the season.
