Chris Phillips scored twice in his 800th regular-season game, and Pascal Leclaire made 25 saves, leading the Ottawa Senators to a 6-2 victory over the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday night.

Phillips, who entered with one goal in 18 games, scored goals 2:03 apart in the third to put Ottawa up 5-1 and chase Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury.

Milan Michalek got his 100th career goal, and Matt Carkner, Chris Kelly and Jonathan Cheechoo also scored for Ottawa, which won its second in a row. Mike Fisher had three assists for the Senators.

Jordan Staal scored early in the first, and Evgeni Malkin had a power-play goal late in the third for Pittsburgh, which gave up six straight goals after taking a 1-0 lead 1:09 in. Fleury left 7:12 into the third after allowing five goals. Brent Johnson stopped six of seven shots the rest of the way.

Also Thursday

Bruins 4, Thrashers 3 (SO): Patrice Bergeron scored the only goal of the shootout, and Boston snapped a three-game losing streak and ended host Atlanta's winning streak at four.

The Thrashers picked up a point when Maxim Afinogenov scored with 41.4 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime.

Tuukka Rask stopped all three Atlanta skaters in the shootout, turning aside shots by Rich Peverley, Slava Kozlov and Ilya Kovalchuk. Bergeron scored on Boston's opening attempt, faking Ondrej Pavelec out of position and stuffing the puck into an open net.

Michael Ryder scored twice, and Marco Sturm also had a regulation goal for Boston. Kovalchuk and Nik Antropov also scored for Atlanta.

Blues 3, Coyotes 2 (OT): Erik Johnson scored on an end-to-end rush 17 seconds into overtime to give host St. Louis its first victory in five overtime games this season.

After Phoenix put the puck in St. Louis' end, Johnson gained control, skated up left wing and crossed the Coyotes' blue line with the puck. The defenseman moved into the high slot and beat goalie Ilya Bryzgalov with a wrist shot.

Keith Tkachuk and T J. Oshie also scored for St. Louis. Blues goalie Chris Mason made 34 saves. Radim Vrbata and Vernon Fidder scored for Phoenix.

Predators 3, Devils 2 (OT): Mike Santorelli and Martin Erat scored shootout goals, and Jason Arnott had two goals in regulation for host Nashville.

Pekka Rinne stopped two of New Jersey's three shooters in the tiebreaker for his fourth consecutive victory. New Jersey goalie Martin Brodeur took the loss after winning his first three shootouts of the season.

Zach Parise scored twice for New Jersey.
