Sidney Crosby scored on a power play at 3:07 of overtime and the Pittsburgh Penguins rallied from a two-goal deficit in the third period to beat the Florida Panthers 3-2 Monday night.

Pascal Dupuis and Michael Rupp also scored for the Penguins, who won consecutive games in regulation for the first time since Oct. 17 and 20. Evgeni Malkin had two assists.

Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 19 shots for the Penguins, who outshot Florida 45-21.

Nathan Horton and Keith Ballard scored for the Panthers, who have lost only once in regulation in their last 12 games (8-1-3). Michael Frolik had two assists, and Tomas Vokoun made 42 saves.

The Penguins got a 4-minute power play at 1:25 of overtime when Horton was penalized for high-sticking.

Also Monday

Islanders 4, Maple Leafs 3 (OT): Dwayne Roloson made 58 saves and Josh Bailey scored 4:18 into overtime to lift New York over host Toronto.

Bailey took a pass from Sean Bergenheim and slammed the puck into an open net. It was the Islanders' only shot of the extra period. Jeff Tambellini, Matt Moulson and Bergenheim also scored for New York.

Predators 3, Red Wings 1: Martin Erat scored two goals, and Nashville beat Detroit for its sixth straight victory.

The streaking Predators finished off a five-game homestand in style and have won 10 of 12 overall.

Rangers 7, Blue Jackets 4: Marian Gaborik again sparked the Rangers' offense with two goals and two assists, but this time he had lots of long-awaited help in New York's victory over visiting Columbus.

Sean Avery also scored twice, and Henrik Lundqvist made 26 saves for the Rangers, who strung together seven straight goals after falling behind 2-0.

Senators 4, Capitals 3 (OT): Mike Fisher scored 1:14 into overtime, giving Ottawa a comeback victory over Washington.

Fisher batted Chris Phillips' centering pass out of the air and past Semyon Varlamov for his 10th goal of the season. Brian Elliott made 25 saves in his fifth start for the Senators, who rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the third period to win their fourth in a row and wrap up a 4-0-1 homestand.

Bruins 4, Blues 2: Patrice Bergeron had four assists, two on power-play goals and another short-handed, to help Boston beat host St. Louis for its first three-game winning streak of the season.

Notes

Wild and Canadiens swap players: The Minnesota Wild traded former first-round draft choice Benoit Pouliot to Montreal for left wing Guillaume Latendresse.

Blue Jackets' Dorsett on IR: The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed forward Derek Dorsett on injured reserve retroactive to Thursday.

Dorsett was injured Thursday in a 4-1 win over the Dallas Stars when he was hit from behind by Stars forward James Neal.

Dorsett was dazed after striking his head on the boards, and Neal was assessed a major penalty for boarding and a game misconduct. The NHL suspended him for two games and he must forfeit $8,515 in salary.

Laraque suspended five games: The NHL suspended Montreal Canadiens enforcer Georges Laraque five games for a hit on Detroit defenseman Niklas Kronwall.

Laraque received the suspension for an incident on Nov. 21 against the Red Wings when he collided with Kronwall resulting in a leg-on-leg, open-ice hit.

Kronwall will be out four to eight weeks with a sprained ligament in his left knee because of the hit.
