WILSON -- Junior center Kendra Thomas scored 14 points and pulled down 12 rebounds on Tuesday night as the host Barton College women's basketball team (4-4) overpowered Shaw 64-48.

Thomas hit five of 10 shots and was complemented by junior Sara Fleming's 14 points and sophomore Esty Flores' 11 points and three steals.

The Bears (5-3) turned the ball over 32 times and were outrebounded 46-39. Shaw also shot just 33.3 percent -- 22 percent in the first half.

Shaw senior Jamie Goshen was the lone player to score in double figures for the 23rd-ranked Division II team.

The Bears were 0-for-7 from the 3-point line.

Barton's largest lead was 38-20 with 15:18 left in the game.
