BASSMASTER ELITE SERIES
Seven anglers from North Carolina are in the full field for the third season of the Bassmaster Elite Series announced Dec. 13 by BASS.
The N.C. entrants are Guy Eaker of Cherryville, Pat Golden of High Point, Kevin Langill of Terrell, Britt Myers of Mount Holly, Marty Stone of Linden, Dustin Wilks of Rocky Mount and Dave Wolak of Wake Forest.
The final 10 competitors were determined via the outcome of the Bassmaster Elite Series wild-card event. Those 10 will join the previously announced 100 competitors who qualified via the Bassmaster Elite Series or the Bassmaster Open circuits.
The 110 anglers -- who hold among them 17 Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year titles and almost 200 BASS victories -- will vie for more than $7.5 million in cash through the 11-event Elite Series schedule, which begins with the March 6-9 Sunshine Showdown on Florida's Harris Chain of Lakes.
The 11 events will determine the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year, which will award a total purse worth $1 million, including the $250,000 grand prize.

WAL-MART FLW SERIES
FISH-OFF: Lake Amistad in Del Rio, Texas, will host the Wal-Mart FLW Series Fish-Off scheduled for Feb. 7-9. The top 30 pros and top 30 co-anglers from the Eastern and Western divisions are invited. The pros will compete head-to-head for three days. Head-to-head winners and the top 30 co-anglers based on accumulated weight advance to the Forrest Wood Cup.
