NC State loses to Vanderbilt N.C. State (7-6) fell to Vanderbilt (9-4) 38-24 sat the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl in Nashville, Tenn. N.C. State has won four of its last six postseason games. This was the Pack’s first visit to Nashville, Tenn., after going to Charlotte in 2011 and Orlando, Fla., in 2010. The Wolfpack played the game without Tom O'Brien, who was fired as head coach after the 2012 regular season. Offensive coordinator Dana Bible served as interim coach. N.C. State is now 14-12-1 overall in bowl games since the team made its first appearance Jan. 1, 1947, in the Gator Bowl against Oklahoma. Music City Bowl When: Monday, Dec. 31 at noon EST TV: ESPN
