Seely McMillan Stephenson and James Bowman Nicholson both of Raleigh, NC were married at 5:45 PM on September 29, 2018 at the Graystone Inn in Roaring Gap, NC. The Rev. Greg Jones officiated the ceremony.
The brides parents are Mr. and Mrs. William Cowell Stephenson IV of Roanoke, VA. Her maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. James Carlton Eller of Winston-Salem, NC. The paternal grandparents are Ms. Ann Fichtener Stephenson and the late Mr. William Cowell Stephenson III of Roanoke, VA.
The bride graduated from North Cross School in Roanoke, VA and graduated from Sewanee - The University of the South in Sewanee, TN and received a BA degree in International and Global Studies. She received BS degree in Interior Design from Meredith College. She is an Interior Designer with Elaine Stephenson Interiors based in Raleigh, NC.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bateman Nicholson of Raleigh, NC. He was a graduate from the University of Georgia, College of Business and is a financial planner. The grooms grandparents are the late Mrs. Frances Weaver Snow Oddenino and Mr. Bowman Franklin Snow. The grooms paternal grandparents are Mr. & Mrs. Henry Gilliam Nicholson.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a ivory silk crepe gown by Alyne of Toronto at features an illusion neckline with appliques of French Alenson lace that cascaded along the bodice sheath style skirt and chapel length train. The bride wore her mother's long veil of Belgian Lace.
The matron of honor was Sallie Routh Gallagher of Washington, DC. The flower girl was Elizabeth Blake Bostic. The best man was the groom's father, Mr. William Bateman Nicholson.
The rehearsal dinner was given by the groom's parents. Following the ceremony a dinner was held at the Graystone Inn.
Following a honeymoon trip to Greece, the couple will live in Raleigh.
