Carly McCourt Roos and Earl Duncan Laing were united in marriage on August 15, 2015 at five o'clock at The Church of the Good Shepherd in Raleigh, North Carolina. The ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Dr. Robert Sawyer. A reception, hosted by the bride's parents, followed at Prestonwood Country Club. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Caffe Luna.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas Roos of Cary, North Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Eleanore JoAnn Wilson and the late Mr. William Clayton Wilson and Mr. Hugh Houck Gelston, Sr. and Mrs. Marjorie Palm Roos and the late Mr. Alan James Roos, Sr. all of Cary, North Carolina.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Alan Laing, of Boynton Beach, Florida, formerly of Buies Creek, North Carolina. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Lee Riales, of Hoschton, Georgia, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Duncan Laing of Dothan, Alabama.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The Maid of Honor was, Kaitlin Cambron Baird, childhood friend of the bride, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Bridesmaids were, Ansley Rae Laing and Madison Anne Laing, sisters of the groom, of Boynton Beach, Florida, Hannah Elise Edwards, cousin of the bride, of Washington, DC, Hannah Lee Rafols, and Carmen Jane Everhart, both of Raleigh, North Carolina and Jordan Jensen Gowan of Little Switzerland, North Carolina.

Christian Riales Laing, brother of the groom, of Madrid, Spain, served as the Best Man. Groomsmen were Nathan Robert Laing, brother of the groom, of Boynton Beach, Florida, Nicholas Andrew Roos of Raleigh, North Carolina and Zachary John Roos, of Charlotte, North Carolina, brothers of the bride, Seth Crawford Caldwell, of Charlotte, North Carolina, James Franklyn Roberts, of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Andrew Christian Vaught, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Alexandra Grace Harris and Brian Joseph Hodges, friends of the bride and groom greeted the guests. Mrs. Kathryn Laing Holland, aunt of the groom and Mr. David Alan Yates, godfather of the bride, were readers. Mr. Dwayne Holloway served as organist.
The bride and groom were honored on several occasions over the past year. The bride's parents hosted an engagement party in October to celebrate the newly engaged couple. The bride was honored at a bridal shower and luncheon in June, given by her bridesmaids and hosted at the home of Carrie Baird. In August, Beth Milton, also hosted a shower for the bride given by several friends of the groom's mother. The bride's father hosted a golf tournament on the day before the wedding, attended by the groomsmen, father of the groom, grandfathers, uncles and close friends. A bridesmaid's luncheon was also held on the day before the wedding at Prestonwood Country Club, hosted by the bride's aunts, Sue Roos, Lisa Murphy, Jeanne Edwards, Michelle Gelston and Suzanne Burns.
The bride graduated from Appalachian State University where she was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. She is currently a student at the Duke School of Nursing and will graduate in December. The groom is also a graduate of Appalachian State University and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He is employed at Dude Solutions in Cary, North Carolina.
Following a honeymoon in Aruba, the newlyweds will reside in Cary, North Carolina.
