Lauren Elizabeth Janson, of Raleigh, and Peter McIlwaine of Lisburn, Northern Ireland were married on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 5:30 in the afternoon at Fearrington Village. The Reverend Eric Lindblade officiated the ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Bruce Harold Janson of Raleigh. She attended Ravenscroft School and is a graduate of Georgetown University. She received a Master's Degree in Health Psychology from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Currently she is pursuing a Masters in Public Health in Nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter McIlwaine of Lisburn, Northern Ireland. He is a graduate of the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and is currently a study coordinator at the Lineberger Cancer Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.The matron of honor was Courtney Jamison Roane of Dallas, Texas. Bridal attendants were Lynn Roberson Janson, sister-in-law of the bride, of New York, New York, Kirstie B. McIlwaine, sister of the groom, of Northern Ireland, Heather Lynn Gartin of New York, New York, and Abigail Murnick Jones of Raleigh, North Carolina.The best man was Jonathan J. McIlwaine, brother of the groom, of Lisburn, Northern Ireland. Groomsmen were Brian M. Janson, brother of the bride, of New York, New York, Alexander J. McSweeney of Manchester, England, and Daniel M. Tesmer of Inverness, Scotland. Robert F. Janson, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.Scriptures were read by Mrs. Pamela Jamison and Neil Shrimanker. A prayer of thanksgiving was offered by Lysandra Palmer Lestini.The couple will reside in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
