Miss Elizabeth Straley Mills and Mr. Stewart Michael Grantham were united in marriage on November 14, 2015 at White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh. The ceremony was officiated by Dr. Christopher Edmonston and Dr. Sam Walker. Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception at North Ridge Country Club. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Midtown Grille. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederic Baker Mills, III of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Loradean Joyner Mahood, Mrs. Adrienne Mills Noble, the late Mr. Wilson Straley Mahood, Jr., and the late Dr. Frederic Baker Mills, Jr.The groom is the son of Mrs. Michael Whitlaw Strickland and the late Mr. Joseph Michael Grantham, Jr. of Pinehurst, NC. He is the grandson of Mrs. Mary Ann Scully, the late Mr. Edward Andrew Scully, Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Michael Grantham, Sr.The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She was attended by Claire Elizabeth Hill of Raleigh as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Abby Skinner Brown of Raleigh; Sarah Scott Dupree of Raleigh; Mary Katherine Fey of Raleigh; Margaret Blake Koroneos of Lynchburg, VA; Ann Gordon Pelletier of New York, NY; Elizabeth Peters Rascoe of Wilson, NC; and Sheldon Suzanne Woolard of Raleigh. The groom's brothers, Joseph Michael Grantham, III of Falls Church, VA and William Warner Grantham of Washington, D.C. were best men. Groomsmen were Karl Elliott Ainslie of Charlotte, NC; Wesley Carl Hyland of Charlotte, NC; John Hunter Davis Leggett of Tarboro, NC; Frederic Baker Mills, IV of Columbia, SC; Hunter Aaron Spivey Rascoe of Wilson, NC; and Wayland James Sermons, III of Charlotte, NC. The bride is a graduate of St. Mary's School and Meredith College where she received a degree in Communications. She was presented by the Terpsichorean Club at the 2009 North Carolina Debutante Ball. She is an Executive Assistant at Red Hat. The groom is a graduate of Virginia Episcopal School and North Carolina State University where he received a degree in Environmental Technology and Management. He is employed at Duke EnergyFollowing their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
