Lauren Ashley Robbins and Seavy Dawson Highsmith Dickson were married on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Saint Mary's Chapel in Raleigh, North Carolina. The ceremony was officiated by The Reverend Bruce Stanley. The bride's parents hosted the reception following the ceremony at The Pavilions at the Angus Barn. On Friday evening, the groom's mother hosted the rehearsal dinner at The Bridge Club. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Edward Robbins of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Gordon McDonald Burleson, the late Mr. Gordon McDonald Burleson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bryant Robbins. The groom is the son of Mrs. Margaret Dawson Highsmith Dickson of Fayetteville, North Carolina and the late Mr. John Wyatt Dickson. He is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Alvis Barnes Dickson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Seavy Highsmith, Junior. The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father. The sister of the bride, Cameron Paige Robbins of Raleigh, served as maid of honor. The sister of the groom, Ann Bright Highsmith Dickson of Winston-Salem, served as the bridesmaid. Honorary attendants were Elena Jake Fanjul- Debnam of Jakarta, Indonesia, Abigail Murnick Jones of Raleigh, Anna Jordan Jones of Raleigh, Spencer Busby Menzel of Raleigh, Arden Clarke Piacenza of Austin, Texas, and Marian Taylor Rice of Raleigh. The groom's brother, John Wyatt Dickson, Junior of Chapel Hill, served as best man. Groomsmen were brothers of the bride, Gordon Bryan Robbins and Zachary Harris Robbins, both of Raleigh. Ushers were William Bryan Blair of Charlotte, Edward Hicklin Dawson of Raleigh, Robert Bailey Evans IV of Siler City, Horace Bryan Ives IV of Charlotte, Benjamin Franklin Matthews III of Chapel Hill, John Harvey McNairy of Kinston, William Virden Nutt III of Charleston, South Carolina, Clyde Thomas Wood III of Raleigh. Anna Taylor Dillon and Hayley Patterson Dillon, both of Washington, DC, served as program attendants. The groom's cousin, Victor Weyher Dawson III of Senatobia, Mississippi, served as the greeter. The bride is a graduate of Saint Mary's School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was presented by the Terpsichorean Club at the 2007 North Carolina Debutante Ball. The groom is a graduate of Woodberry Forest School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
