Charlotte Ann Rollins and Charles Henry Mercer III of Raleigh, N.C. were married on Saturday, April 30th at half past four o’clock at First Baptist Church in Raleigh, N.C. The parents of the bride hosted a reception following the ceremony at The State Club. The parents of the groom hosted the rehearsal dinner at Carolina Country Club the evening before the wedding.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas James Rollins of Raleigh, N.C. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Albert Lojko, Sr. of Greensboro, N.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Esmond Rollins of Goldsboro, N.C.The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henry Mercer, Jr. of Raleigh, N.C. He is the grandson of Dr. Charles Henry Mercer, Sr. of Durham, N.C. and the late Mrs. Florrie Smythe Mercer of Durham, N.C., the late Mrs. Elaine Audrey Dulimba of Miami, Fl. and the late Mr. Theodore Robert Meranski of Miami, Fl.The bride was escorted by her father. The sister of the bride, Michelle Lojko Rollins of Raleigh, N.C., served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Caroline Pappas McCall of Brooklyn, N.Y., Hannah Milner Parker of Copenhagen, Denmark, Carson Hicks Schuch of Atlanta, Ga., Bethany Tudor Symmes of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Louise Schoolfield Hare, Kimberly Senna Randolph and Rachel Wooten Matthews, all of Raleigh, N.C. Honorary bridesmaids were Samantha Jean Adorno and Barbara McLeod Newcomb of Charlotte, N.C., Tara Billet Kennedy of Washington, D.C., Kathleen Carter Baker of Norfolk, Va., and Mary Riddick Stallworth of Atlanta, Ga. Greeters were Cassie, Madison and Samantha Lojko of Charlotte, N.C. The brother of the groom, Daniel Lee Mercer of Raleigh, N.C., and the groom’s father served as best men. Groomsmen were Matthew James Rollins of Raleigh, N.C., Richard Paxton Badham III of Charlotte, N.C., Michael Javier Calvo of Washington, D.C., Christopher John Cooper of Dallas, Tx., Mihir Chandrasekhar Gandhi of San Francisco, Ca., William Archer Parsley II of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Judson Blount Williams, Jr. of Durham, N.C. Ushers were Jeffrey Alexander Dixson of Butare, Rwanda, David Bradley King of San Francisco, Ca., David Dun-Hung Lo of Atlanta, Ga., and Scott David Orleck and Louis Anthony Tramontozzi III of Boston, Ma.The bride is a graduate of North Carolina State University. She was presented by the Terpsichorean Club at the 2004 North Carolina Debutante Ball. The groom is a graduate of Duke University and received an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.Following their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
