Elizabeth Ferebee Frazier and William Johnson Plyler were married at five o’clock on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh. The Reverend Doctor Christopher Edmonston and the Reverend Doctor Arthur Ross III officiated. Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception at the Carolina Country Club. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the City Club Raleigh. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Davis Frazier of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Goley Ross and the late Mr. and Mrs. E. Henry Frazier, all of Raleigh. She is the step granddaughter of Mrs. Helen Pollard Frazier of Raleigh. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Webb Plyler of Raleigh. He is the grandson of the late Reverend and Mrs. William Royall Bussey and Mr. Beal Brent “BB” Plyler, Jr. and the late Mrs. Flora Webb Plyler, all of Wilson. Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride was attended by Lucy Arrington Clark of Raleigh and Sara Bailey Stocks of Atlanta as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Stewart Bailey, Elizabeth Emory Church, Mary Southgate Dickson, Settle Plyler Monroe, Hannah Elizabeth Ross, and Marian Lillian Troxler, all of Raleigh, Rebecca Vinson Hamilton and Cathryn Elizabeth Medlin of Atlanta, and Amanda Rosanne Ross of Chapel Hill. Rachel Barwick Barnett of Atlanta was a reader. Sterling Barksdale Battle and Rebecca Marian Ross of Raleigh and Lauren Elizabeth Vitek of San Francisco were greeters. The groom’s father served as the best man. Groomsmen included Stephen Van Boyette, Jr., Jonathan Scott Gilliam, Matthew Lawrence Horney, Jeffrey Robert Monroe, Henry Coble Neese and Brent Bussey “BB” Plyler, all of Raleigh, Brian Thomas Edmundson of High Point, Taylor McNeilly Fogleman of Houston, Dr. Jeffrey David Sibrack of New Orleans and David Benjamin Stone of Greensboro. The groom’s nephews, Duncan Jeffrey Monroe and John Robert Monroe served as ring bearers. The bride is a graduate of Clemson University and was presented at the 2010 North Carolina Terpsichorean Ball. The groom is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Both the bride and the groom are employed at Biologics, Inc. Following a honeymoon trip to Saint Lucia, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
