Big Brother (8 p.m., CBS) — We meet the Season 20 houseguests and sadly, no Raleigh people this time (we miss you, Christmas Abbott). But there are three people with South Carolina ties (lifeguard Tyler Cripsin and fitness expert Angela Rummans of Hilton Head, and Vegas entertainer Rachel Swindler who is originally from Myrtle Beach) so if you’re watching, root for our southern neighbors.

MasterChef (8 p.m., Fox) — The chefs prepare dishes using walnuts and there’s an elimination challenge involving popular food among soccer fans around the world. Raleigh’s Juni Cuevas is still in this.

NOVA: Rise of the Superstorms (9 p.m., PBS / UNC-TV) — The 2017 hurricane season brings devastation to Houston and throughout the Caribbean.
