Theater Picks, January 23: ‘Trouble in Mind’ begins run

PlayMakers Repertory Company begins a run this weekend of Alice Childress’ 1955 play, “Trouble in Mind,” a serio-comic story about the rehearsal of a racially integrated play that challenges the African-American actors because of their roles’ stereotypes. The lead actress must decide between a desirable part and her principles.
