A supreme evening

Just a few blocks away from the Diana Ross show, filmmaker John Waters’ one-man show celebrates his eclectic career, from the early cult hit “Pink Flamingos” to later mainstream productions like “Hairspray.”

The artful rabbit

Family Fun Day at the art museum features actors performing a short scene from the play “The Velveteen Rabbit” before kids and parents head into the studio to create animal sculptures from paper and tape.

Lego-palooza

Fairy Tale Puppets

Once upon a time, PuppetHead Theater and FatMouth Improv put together a spectacular improvised fairy tale puppet show, and everyone lived happily ever after. (Note: The same groups put on a benefit show at same location on Feb. 13 geared toward adults and benefiting the Durham Crisis Response Center.)
