The N.C. Master Chorale’s annual Valentine’s Day concerts have a clever twist this year. Billed as a program of romantic hits from the ’70s, but not necessarily from the century you might think. The first half of Saturday’s concerts (at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.) includes music from the 1470s to the 1870s by Lully, Mozart, Brahms and others. The second half offers songs from the 1970s such as “How Deep Is Your Love,” “Killing Me Softly” and an Earth, Wind & Fire medley. Kenan Recital Hall, William Peace University, Raleigh. $20 (seniors $18; student $5) 919-856-9700 or ncmasterchorale.org.
