Friday evening in Durham, the Carolina Theatre’s Retrofantasm film series’ Retro Halloween celebration presents a double feature of two creepy cult classics. First up, there’s David Lynch’s incredibly weird 1977 feature length film debut “Eraserhead,” starring the late Jack Nance as a factory worker in an unidentified industrial wasteland who finds out that he’s the father of a screaming mutant baby. Next, there’s the uncut director’s version of Eric Weston’s 1981 horror flick “Evilspeak,” which could be called “Revenge of the Nerd,” as it stars Clint Howard (Ron’s brother) as a computer-geek military school cadet who turns the tables on his tormenters with the help of Satanic black magic. The double bill begins at 7, and admission is $8 ($6.25 for Star members). Details: 919-560-3030 or festivals.carolinatheatre.org/retrofantasma.
