If you’re feeling like you’re going crazy after being cooped up with the family over the holidays, get out of the house and head to the Cary Theater in downtown Cary this weekend to see a movie about folks who are certifiably crazy and cooped up: Milos Forman’s Oscar-winning 1975 adaptation of Ken Kesey’s 1962 novel “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” Jack Nicholson won the Best Actor Academy Award for his role as Randall McMurphy, a sex offender who gets sent to a mental institution where he instigates a rebellion against the tyrannical Nurse Ratched (Louise Fletcher, who won Best Actress). Brad Dourif, Sydney Lassick, Will Sampson and two of the future stars of the ’70s sitcom “Taxi,” Christopher Lloyd and Danny Devito, also star. It screens on Saturday evening at 7, and Sunday afternoon at 2. Admission is $5. Details: 919-462-2051 or thecarytheater.com.
