Saturday afternoon at 2, The Cary Theater in downtown Cary is showing the acclaimed 2015 documentary “Meet the Patels,” a comic look at Indian American actor Ravi Patel’s complicated love life. Patel, who graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill, co-directed the film with his sister, Geeta.

Saturday evening, Anton Corbijn’s 2015 drama “Life,” starring Robert Pattinson as Life magazine photographer Dennis Stock and Dane Dehaan as James Dean, screens at 7, with an encore of “Meet the Patels” following at 9:30. “Life” has an encore screening at 2 p.m. Sunday.
