Classical Picks, March 13: Llewellyn conducts the ‘Three Bs’

The N.C. Symphony plays a “Three Bs” concert Friday and Saturday in Raleigh’s Meymandi Concert Hall and Sunday in UNC-Chapel Hill’s Memorial Hall. The traditional “Big Three” of classical music are represented by Bach’s “Jesu, meine Freude” and Brahms’ “Schicksalslied” (both with the N.C. Master Chorale) along with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 (“Eroica”), all under the baton of Grant Llewellyn. 8 p.m. both nights in Raleigh; 7:30 p.m. in Chapel Hill. $18-$65 (students $10). 919-733-2750 or ncsymphony.org.
