Young and talented, Nashville-based Barefoot Movement springs forth from bluegrass roots to fashion a progressive sound that’s still familiar to Monroe traditionalists. These energetic Millennials trace their lineage to such revolutionary acts as Newgrass Revival and the New South. In their brief, yet prolific tenure, they’ve been featured on “CMT Edge” and “Woodsongs Old-Time Radio Hour,” and won first runner-up at the prestigious Telluride Bluegrass Festival’s New Band Competition in 2013.
