N.C. Symphony’s Summerfest series at Cary’s Koka Booth Amphitheatre has two concerts this weekend, both conducted by David Glover. Friday’s program features young pianist Joey Alexander and his trio performing his own works along with jazz classics. The orchestra plays Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” and “An American in Paris.” Saturday brings an evening of light classics, including a suite from Bizet’s “Carmen,” a Brahms Hungarian dance, and excerpts from Copland’s “Rodeo.”
