Bluegrass fans who want to enjoy fare from some of the Triangle’s food trucks will have a chance this weekend.
During the Wide Open Bluegrass Streetfest, food trucks will be parked from City Plaza to Lenior Street across from the Marriott Hotel. Some of the trucks include Two Roosters Ice Cream, Stuft (baked potatoes), Oak City Fish and Chips, L’Arepa (Venezuelan grilled, stuffed cornmeal cakes), Southern Comfort Catering, Fully Loaded Fritters, Charlie’s Kabob on Wheels and Bluebird Cupcakes.
The street fest’s hours are noon-11 p.m. Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
By about 1 p.m. Oct. 1, more trucks will move into the parking lot in front of the Duke Energy Center after the Whole Hog Barbecue Championship ends. Those trucks include: Chirba Chirba Dumpling, Sarge’s Chef on Wheels, Hibachi Xpress and Daddy Bob’s Barbeque.
