Even though time marches on, it’s still kind of astounding to contemplate the fact that this year marks the Connells’ 30th anniversary. And yet it really has been three decades since this Raleigh rock institution emerged with a sound rich in the verities of Southern 1980s-vintage college-radio guitar-pop. They’ll mark the occasion with a show on Saturday at the Raleigh Little Theatre Amphitheatre. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. and the music starts at 4 with Backsliders and Chris Hendricks opening. Tickets are $15-$20. See raleighlittletheatre.org for details.
