Lumineers live-streaming Thursday night’s anti-HB2 show in Cary

If you don’t already have tickets for The Lumineers’ Thursday night show in Cary, you’re flat out of luck because it sold out long ago.

But that doesn’t mean you have to miss the show. You can watch a live stream of Thursday’s performance from Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre via the Live Nation TV page on Facebook; it’s scheduled to start at 8:55 p.m. Eastern Time. Check here for details.

In the wake of North Carolina’s controversial House Bill 2 - which has cost the state untold millions in revenue from numerous cancellations in music, sports and business - The Lumineers have been one of many groups to repurpose their show here as an anti-HB2 benefit. The Denver-based folk-rock group has pledged all proceeds to HRC and EqualityNC, two organizations working to overturn HB2.

The Lumineers also came up with this limited-edition T-shirt, which incorporates both the North Carolina motto Esse Quam Videri (“To Be Rather Than To Seem”) and a call for HB2 to be repealed. If you don’t make it to the show, that shirt can be ordered here.
