Megafaun used to be one of the most active bands going, and the trio does still keep plenty busy – just not together so much. Separately as well as together, they’ve contributed to a dizzying array of other artists’ projects; but Megafaun itself has not played a local show since September 2012, which is an interminably long drought for the Triangle’s best band (in my book, at least). That hiatus will finally end next week with a two-night stand at Durham’s Pinhook. Showtime is 9 both nights with Canine Heart Sounds opening Tuesday and Loamlands opening Wednesday. Tickets are $18-$20. See thepinhook.com for details.
