Y’all come to Dix Park – for more free music

Y’all at Dix Park, a new free-outdoor-concert series in Raleigh, will kick off its first season next month.

And the talent lineup will be wide-ranging, from the psychedelic rock of Birds of Avalon (featuring award-winning chef Cheetie Kumar on guitar) to the hip-hop jazz of The Beast (featuring Durham mayoral candidate Pierce Freelon on the mike).

Y’all at Dix Park will be one Saturday per month through August, and it goes like this:

▪ June 24 - The Veldt, Wayleaves, Zensofly

▪ July 22 - Hammer No More The Fingers, Zack Mexico, Honey Magpie

▪ Aug. 26 - Birds Of Avalon, The Beast, Debonzo Brothers

Each day’s music happens from 4 to 10 p.m. at Harvey Hill on the Dix campus, and it’s free. There will also be accompanying field-day activities for kids, also free.
