Seeing this is going to involve getting up super-early on a weekday morning, but Raleigh country singer/songwriter Johnny Orr will be on national television at the crack of dawn Saturday. The venue is “Fox and Friends Weekend,” where Orr will be at 6 a.m. Eastern Time Saturday to perform “We’ll Get By (The Autism Song).” The song, which Orr wrote at the request of a friend who has autistic twin sons, is part of an awareness and fund-raising campaign to help launch Autism Village -- a mobile app that helps users locate autism-friendly places and businesses.
There’s an Autism Village Kickstarter campaign, which has already exceeded its fund-raising goal by more than $20,000 with 11 days to go; and a “We’ll Get By (The Autism Song)” video that has picked up well over 400,000 views since debuting last year. Take a look at that below.
