Beck might make magic with two turntables and a microphone, but Bandway does it with a boombox, electric guitar and TWO microphones. The goofball duo of Bo Taylor and Brooks Carter has been one of the Triangle’s best in-jokes for almost 20 years, playing shows and putting out the occasional record replete with the sort of off-color humor you’ve probably indulged in yourself if you’re an adult male of a certain age. “Buddies” is their latest album, which they’ll play along with old favorites like “Balls Out” and “Four Day Weekend” at Kings in Raleigh on Friday.

Doors open at 8:30 p.m., Trousers play first at 9:30 p.m. and cover is $10. For details, see kingsbarcade.com.
