Brian Wilson will return to the Triangle less than a year since his last show in the area, this time playing Raleigh’s Memorial Auditorium on Aug. 19.

The date is on the Beach Boys mastermind’s 50-year anniversary tour of the group’s 1966 landmark “Pet Sounds,” one of the rock era’s most influential albums. And it follows a Wilson performance last November at Durham’s Carolina Theatre that was simply magical -- ask anyone who was there.

If you’ve never partaken of the live Wilson experience in recent years, this show should be definite bucket-list material. Various pre-sales will start this week, with the public on-sale set for 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.
