Ever wondered what it might feel like to drop acid and then go to the circus? You can get a pretty fair aural approximation of that experience on “Correct” (Gravesend Recordings), the impressively weird-yet-appealing new album by Laser Background – working handle of Philadelphia’s Andy Molholt, who concocts a psychedelic carnival that seems to pulse and flow across the universe in eyeball-melting tones. Laser Background will play it live Wednesday at Neptunes, downstairs from Kings in Raleigh, on a bill with Hotline.
It’s an all-ages show, music starts at 9:45 p.m. and cover is $7. See kingsbarcade.com for details.
