What to Watch on Wednesday: Emma Roberts joins ‘AHS: Freak Show’

American Horror Story: Freak Show (10pm, FX) - Emma Roberts joins the show as a fortuneteller who captivates young Jimmy, while bearded lady Ethel ( Kathy Bates) receives some surprising news.

Nova: Ben Franklin’s Balloons (9pm, UNC-TV) - “Nova” takes a look at the daring aeronauts of 18th-century Paris, who took flight in hot-air and gas balloons. Included are recreations of key flights, including the first manned voyage in 1783.

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - Phil is selling the house next door, and he and Claire are excited to have new neighbors -- until they meet the obnoxious couple who might buy it. Also, Mitchell and Cameron hear horror stories about Lily’s teacher, played by guest star Tyne Daly.

The 100 (9 p.m., CW) – So what the heck is Mount Weather? The Season 2 premiere of this solid sci-fi series will answer that question.

Ghost Hunters (9pm, Syfy) - In the series’ 200th episode, the TAPS gang returns to the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, W. Va., and reunite with Grant, Dustin and Joe.

Franklin & Bash (10pm, TNT) - In the Season 4 finale, Infeld fears he’s going to die when a mysterious invitation lures him to Vegas. The guys follow and are arrested for cheating.

Web Therapy (11 p.m., Showtime) – The fourth season of the Lisa Kudrow comedy series begins with guest star Gwyneth Paltrow as a serenity healer who visits Fiona (Kudrow) for help with her anger issues.
