Selfie (8 p.m., ABC) – With the cancellation of “Manhattan Love Story,” tonight begins the doubling-down of “Selfie” – episodes at 8 and 8:30. At 8, Eliza and Henry spend the weekend with no cell reception at their boss’s estate (great episode title: “Even Hell Has Two Bars”). At 8:30, Eliza tries to help Henry with the ladies.
Finding Your Roots (8 p.m., UNC-TV) – Can’t help but recommend this every week. This time, Henry Louis Gates Jr. guides Carole King, Alan Dershowitz and Tony Kushner through their family histories. This is fascinating – and moving – every single week.
Marry Me (9 p.m., NBC) – Another show I’m going to push every week! Tonight, an epic storm sweeps into Chicago, forcing the gang to seek shelter in basement and marring Jake and Annie’s first-date anniversary.
30 for 30: Brothers in Exile (9 p.m., ESPN) – The story of half-brothers Livan and Orlando “El Duque” Hernandez – their rise to baseball stardom in Cuba, their harrowing escapes from their homeland, and the circumstances that reunited them years later as World Series champions.
Marvel: 75 Years, From Pulp to Pop! (9 p.m., ABC) – A look at the evolution of the Marvel entertainment juggernaut, from its origins in comic books of the 1930s to its blockbuster movies of the 21st century.
