What to Watch on Wednesday: ‘Freak Show’ ends, ‘Best New Restaurant’ begins

American Horror Story: Freak Show (10 p.m., FX) – In the season finale, the freaks rebel against new management while Dandy prepares for his debut performance. Also, Elsa ( Jessica Lange) finally arrives in Tinseltown. (Lange says this will be her last “American Horror Story” full-time series role – but there’s no harm in holding out hope for guest spots!)

Also on tonight . . .

Arrow (8 p.m., CW) – The team try to protect the city in the Arrow’s absence and fear the worst may have befallen their friend. But Felicity refuses to believe Oliver could be dead – until Merlyn pays them a visit.

NOVA: Sunken Ship Rescue (9 p.m., UNC-TV) – Nova chronicles efforts to salvage the Costa Concordia cruise ship, which capsized off the coast of Italy in 2013, killing 32 people.

Empire (9 p.m., Fox) – The Lyons family visits Philly and sees what life would have been like without Lucious’ success in the music business.

Best New Restaurant (10 p.m., Bravo) - In this new series hosted by Tom Colicchio (“Top Chef”), 16 new restaurants compete – two each week – for the top prize of $100,000.
