What to Watch on Friday: In new ‘12 Monkeys’ series, a quest to save the world

12 Monkeys (9 p.m., Syfy) – In the second episode of this new series, Cole’s search for information about a mysterious organization known as the Army of 12 Monkeys leads him to a mental institution in 2015, where there’s a patient who holds the key to the plague that will destroy the world.

Constantine (8 p.m., NBC) – Chas faces a parent’s worst nightmare when thousands of people across Brooklyn slip into a mysterious coma, including his own daughter, and it’s up to John to figure how to awaken them.

Cold Justice (8 p.m., TNT) – Kelly and Yolanda investigate a particularly gruesome cold case tonight: the burning death of a 67-year-old grandmother in Fairview Park, Ohio.

Glee (9 p.m., Fox) – Rachel proposes a deal with Will that will improve her squad’s chances at the invitational.

Ricky Jay: Deceptive Practice (9:30 p.m., UNC-TV) – In the 29th season premiere of the “American Masters” series, a profile of magician, author, actor and historian Ricky Jay, who started magic at age 4 under the apprenticeship of his grandfather Max Katz.
