What to Watch on Wednesday: U.S. vs. Russia spy games in ‘The Americans’

The Americans (10pm, FX) - America and Russia at odds? That’s so 80s! And as it turns out, so today. There’s no better time to watch this fabulous FX spy drama. In the second episode of the new season, Elizabeth ( Keri Russell) gets a mysterious distress signal, while Nina ( Annet Mahendru) and Stan ( Noah Emmerich) are presented with unique opportunities.

Revolution (8pm, NBC) - Aaron wakes up in a world with power and finds himself married to Priscilla and in charge of his old company. However, things seem a bit out of sorts to him, and then familiar faces start to surface.

Arrow (8pm, CW) - Oliver is shocked to learn that Slade is in Starling City. Back on the island, Oliver, Slade and Sara prepare to take over the freighter from Ivo, and Sara urges Oliver to kill Ivo.

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - Cameron organizes the school’s spring dance, but spars with a popular teacher who’s returned from sabbatical. Meanwhile, Phil takes Haley to a real estate agents banquet when Claire has another commitment, and Lily clashes with baby Joe during a babysitting assignment.

Pete Seeger: The Power of Song (9pm, VH1 Classic) - This repeat of a 2007 profile of singer-songwriter-activist Pete Seeger hums with archival footage, rare old TV clips, home movies, shots from the Seeger family photo album and interviews with admiring musicians. Included are comments from Bruce Springsteen, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan and Bonnie Raitt.

Nashville (10pm, ABC) - Pop labels compete to sign Juliette, and Rayna and Avery both struggle with finances. Also, Deacon deals with temptation when he encounters an old friend at an AA meeting.
