The Witness (10 p.m., UNC-TV) – In this riveting Independent Lens documentary, the brother of murder victim Kitty Genovese investigates the events surrounding her 1964 murder in Queens, N.Y., tracking down witnesses and making some surprising discoveries about famous reports that no one helped the dying woman.
