What to Watch on Wednesday: 2-hour ‘Empire’ season finale

Empire (8 p.m., Fox) – In the two-hour Season 1 finale, Lucious has a secret that’s about to change everything. Also, Hakeem tries to figure out the best move for his career, and Cookie comes up with a plan to get herself back on top. Snoop Dogg guests stars as himself.

Walking the Nile (8 p.m., Animal Planet) – Explorer and former British Army paratrooper Levison Wood begins his 9-month, 4,250 mile trek along the river Nile. The journey takes him from a rainforest in Rwanda, through Tanzania and ends in Uganda. Three episodes air tonight.

Arrow (8 p.m., CW) – A new villain known as Murmur (his mouth has been sewn shut) terrorizes Starling City.

CSI: Cyber (10 p.m., CBS) – A car service company’s dispatch software is hacked to target specific passengers.

The Untold Story of ‘The Sound of Music’ (10 p.m., ABC)Diane Sawyer travels to Austria with actress Julie Andrews to explore the mysteries of the legendary film, revealing behind-the-scenes stories and re-tracing the steps of the real von Trapps, who defied the Nazis and were forced to leave the country they loved.
