What to Watch on Sunday: ‘Leftovers’ ends on HBO, ‘I’m Dying Up Here’ starts on Showtime

The Leftovers (9 p.m., HBO) – Don’t expect all your questions to be answered in the show’s series finale. Creator Damon Lindelof (“Lost”) says the central mystery of the show will remain a mystery. We do know that Nora continues her quest to join her departed family.

Fear the Walking Dead (9 p.m., AMC) – In the two-hour Season 3 premiere, the Clark family finds themselves in a terrible predicament, and Strand faces resistance as he attempts to hold onto power.

I’m Dying Up Here (10 p.m., Showtime) – This new series explores the stand-up comedy scene in Los Angeles in the 1970s. Executive produced by Jim Carrey and starring Melissa Leo, Al Madrigal, Ari Graynor and Michael Angarano.

United Shades of America (10 p.m., CNN) – Host W. Kamau Bell, a critic of the gun laws in America, buys a 357 Magnum.
