What to Watch on Wednesday: CMT Music Awards, ‘Carmichael’ gets serious

CMT Music Awards (8 p.m., CMT, Nickelodeon, TV Land, Spike) – Charles Esten hosts the fan-voted music awards show, with performances by Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Brett Eldredge, Thomas Rhett and Luke Bryan.

Little Big Shots (8 p.m., NBC) – Steve Harvey meets sibling a cappella singers, a young cellist, a 12-year-old opera singer from Holland and performers from China.

The Carmichael Show (9 p.m., NBC) – Joe and his sons take a trip to visit Joe’s mother, but things take a serious turn when she presents them with an impossible dilemma: Grandma Francis wants them to assist her in her suicide.

Fargo (10 p.m., FX) – Nikki struggles to survive after things go badly for Ray. Also, Emmit gets spooked and Sy joins Varga for tea.
