What to Watch on Wednesday: ‘Lowe Files’ features Duke grad and his famous dad

The Lowe Files (10 p.m., A&E) - In this new reality series, actor Rob Lowe and his two sons, including recent Duke grad Matthew, explore famous unsolved mysteries – like aliens and Bigfoot. In the first episode, they visit a condemned boys’ reformatory in Ione, California, which is believed to house vengeful spirits.

Ireland’s Wild Coast (8 p.m., UNC-TV) - Wildlife cameraman Colin Stafford-Johnson explores Ireland’s west coast and wildlife, including humpback whales, eagles, salmon and red deer stags.

The Carmichael Show (9 p.m., NBC) - Bobby decides he wants to go to college. Maxine defends his decision but doesn’t like his career choice.

The Sinner (10 p.m., USA) - In this new drama series, a housewife stabs a beachgoer to death, which sparks an investigation and creates confusion in a small town.

Darkness (10 p.m., Discovery) – A new series in which three men spend six days in complete darkness fighting to find the exit of a treacherous cave system buried underneath the Ozark mountains.
