What to Watch on Saturday: An incredible rescue attempt on ‘Pit Bulls and Parolees’

Pit Bulls and Parolees (9 p.m., Animal Planet) – Lizzy finds a maggot-covered dog lying on the road and races to the vet in hopes of saving it. Meanwhile, a mother and son travel from Boston to adopt a dog, but Tia struggles to find a good fit for their family. At 10, a new inmate starts working at VRC, trying to fill the shoes of Country Matt.

Doubt (8 p.m., CBS) – Two new episodes tonight. First Albert and Sadie deal with trust issues, and at 9, they try to keep billy from testifying in his trial.

Perfect Soulmate (8 p.m., Lifetime) – In this movie, an isolated poet is desperate to escape her controlling, abusive husband, so she befriends a fan – and unwittingly invites another dangerous person into her life.

Gone: The Forgotten Women of Ohio (9 p.m., Spike) – A jailhouse informant reveals new persons of interest, and a phone with a shocking message mysteriously disappears at the police station.
