Robert Green of Raleigh made it to the Top Ten on Monday night’s “So You Think You Can Dance” competition on Fox.

Green, a 2010 graduate of Enloe High School, was a backup dancer for Taylor Swift’s “1989” album tour.

On the show, Green, 25, dances with partner Jasmine Harper. In Monday night’s show, Green and Harper did a hip-hop/jazz dance to “Perm” by Bruno Mars.

TVLine.com recappers said Green and Harper “rose to the challenge” of following Robert Roldan and Taylor Siever’s great contemporary performance. They called Green’s dance “a fun, fast and just-silly-enough performance that ended the evening on a high note.”

Recappers on the Entertainment Weekly site were even more effusive in their praise:

Robert starts in position – in a barber’s chair, back to the audience. Cat calls his name, Jasmine spins him around, and the crowd goes wild. Robert, your people love you!

I just want to be Robert’s best friend. That’s his vibe. He dances like he’s giving the world a bear hug. Everybody’s into it, even Cat’s little boy(!!). (Judge) Mary calls Robert the best entertainer of the night. (Judge) Nigel tells Jasmine that she’s come back from Beyoncé’s tour “a beautiful woman.” She was beautiful already, Nige. That’s like the whole point of Beyoncé.

“So You Think You Can Dance” airs Monday nights at 8 on Fox.
