What to Watch on Friday: ‘Son of Sam’ speaks, Netflix debuts ‘Atypical’ coming of age story

Son of Sam: The Killer Speaks (10 p.m., CBS) – On the 40th anniversary of his arrest, the “Son of Sam” killer David Berkowitz, who terrorized New York City during the summer of 1976, speaks to CBS reporters about what drove him to murder six people and wound seven others.

Bering Sea Gold (9 p.m., Discovery) – Shawn’s million dollar Bluff claim is denied in the Season 9 premiere, leaving the grounds open to anyone.

Dark Matter (9 p.m Syfy) – One of the Android’s newly discovered memories leads the crew to a suspicious Dwarf star family on Nova 17.

Atypical (Netflix) – This new series is a coming of age story following Sam (Keir Gilchrist), an 18-year-old man on the autistic spectrum as he searches for love and independence. Jennifer Jason Leigh stars as his mother and Michael Rapport plays his father.
