What to Watch on Friday: ‘Disjointed’ and ‘Death Note’ land on Netflix

Disjointed (Netflix) – The new comedy stars Kathy Bates as an advocate for the legalization of marijuana who is finally living her dream as the owner of an LA-area cannabis dispensary.

Death Note (Netflix) – This new movie based on the famous Japanese manga follows a high school student who comes across a supernatural notebook which holds a great power: if the owner inscribes someone’s name into it while picturing their face, he or she will die. Intoxicated with his new godlike abilities, the young man begins to kill those he deems unworthy of life.

Wynonna Earp (10 p.m., Syfy) – In the Season 2 finale, Wynonna is running out of time and desperate to defeat The Widows before her fate is sealed.

Playhouse Masters (10 p.m., Animal Planet) – Actress and model Ali Landry hires Charmed to build a chic playhouse for kids in a style inspired by a pigeon coop.

Man Eating Python of Sulawesi (10 p.m., Discovery) – After the viral video of a man being eaten whole by a python in Indonesia, Rob Nelson reveals the science behind these kinds of attacks and how humans could be contributing.
