American Masters: Richard Linklater (9 p.m., UNC-TV) – An unconventional look at director Richard Linklater's independent filmmaking style that emerged in the late 1980s-1990s.

Diana, 7 Days (8 p.m., NBC) - A special look at the week following Princess Diana’s death on Aug. 31, 1997, including the extraordinary outpouring of public mourning. Her sons Prince William and Prince Harry are both interviewed and recall when they learned of her death.

Killjoys (8 p.m., Syfy) - The game changes in the Season 3 finale.

Narcos (Netflix) – We get the third season of this drama chronicling the stories of drug kingpins of the late 1980s and the law enforcement groups with whom they clashed.
