WRAL reporter and weekend anchor Kathryn Brown will take over the anchor spots currently filled by Lynda Loveland when Loveland departs in December.
Brown joined WRAL in 2014 and before that worked at WCBS in New York. Along with Gerald Owens, Brown will anchor the 4 and 5:30 p.m. newscasts on WRAL and the 10 p.m. newscast on Fox 50.
According to WRAL, Brown will also join the station’s investigative team.
Loveland announced in early September that she will leave WRAL for a job at Farm Bureau, which will allow her to spend more time with her school-age children.
