What to Watch on Thursday: A new season of ‘A Chef’s Life’ and the final season of ‘Scandal’

A Chef’s Life (9:30 p.m., UNC-TV) – In the Season 5 premiere, Vivian Howard searches for ripe tomatoes to serve at the restaurant's 10th birthday celebration. Howard also prepares an old-school tomato dish with Miss Lillie.

Scandal (9 p.m., ABC) – It’s 100 days into Mellie’s presidency in the Season 7 premiere (the show’s final season), and Olivia faces her toughest call as she works to avoid an international incident.

Will & Grace (9 p.m., NBC) – Will and Jack try to date younger guys but find it challenging. Grace and Karen experience a crisis that reveals Grace's true feelings about Karen.

The Orville (9 p.m., Fox) – The crew saves a stranded ship and its attractive captain, with whom Ed becomes smitten.

Ghost Wars (10 p.m., Syfy) – In this series premiere, a troubled medium prepares to leave his small town in Alaska when an earthquake strikes and awakens a dangerous supernatural force.
