What to Watch on Friday: Errol Morris true crime series ‘Wormwood’ mixes genres on Netflix

Wormwood (Netflix) – Oscar-winning documentarian Errol Morris mixes fiction and non-fiction genres to tell the story of one man’s 60-year quest to learn the circumstances of his father’s mysterious death. Stars Peter Sarsgaard.

Hollywood Christmas Parade (8 p.m., The CW) – The 86th annual event has celebrities like Erik Estrada and Dean Cain. Dr. Oz is the grand marshal.

It’s a Wonderful Life (8 p.m., USA) – In this Frank Capra classic, a suicidal man ruined by a miser on Christmas Eve sees his life in a new light thanks to his guardian angel. It stars James Stewart, Donna Reed and Lionel Barrymore.
